Not much happened today, this morning Melissa, Taylor, Sarah, and I tried to go and get food from the grocery store, but after walking around trying to find our desired store, we found out that it was closed until noon as it was Sunday. After that we went with the group to the Columbia Flower Market. It is rather far away but it was lovely. The long street had flower sellers in the middle and on the sides there were cute stores. Melissa and I got delicious sandwiches from a small woman who called us 'angels' when she gave us our food. We sat in the back where there was a garden. Later that day we were supposed to go on an ethnographic study as we were assigned by Arcadia. My group as given Shepherd's Bush which is rather close. We were unable to do it though and we decided to do it on another day.
Classes start tomorrow and we then did some homework and readings in the meantime. We are all really excited about classes beginning. I am taking Environment, Communities, and the Arts in Britain; the History of Modern Britain since 1850; Britain and the EU-- all Arcadia taught classes--; and Theories of Global Politics at City University.
When Sarah got back we finally went to the stores and got some food. After that we made dinner and I skyped my parents. It was a slow, but really good day. It has been cold lately but not that bad. I guess that it is London weather though.
GLAD TO HEAR YOUR FINALLY STARTING CLASSES HISTORY OF MODERN BRITAIN SINCE 1850 SOUNDS
